    DCC400 Error 04-346

    OOOPS!!

Cleaned the dev housing on xerox c400 today and getting a ibt home sensor error.

Before I pull it apart again can anyone tell me what to check for with the dev unit
placement. The machine was in a dusty environment, could I have caused some
    dust to block mob sensor?

Also what is the main cause of hard toner lumps particularly in the yellow?

What do you use to clean dev mag roller?

    cheers
    Glenn

    hi glenng,

i advise use 3M vacumn cleaner clean all internal machine after dismantle all deve housing and remove ibt belt and clean ibt internal part too.
main cause for toner hardened inside deve housing mainly due to hot environment or compatible toner .u can separate hardened toner with filter and try chg new toner cartridge.

      Thanks Copytech200X

I pulled the machine down again and shame on me I had not got the pin on the yellow dev unit
in the hole on back plate but about an eighth of an inch forward in a cutout in the plate, so it
pushed in and sat well but the error told me otherwise.
I gave everything a good vac when I had it apart the first time. I gave the MOB sensor a clean
      while I was at it.
Im pretty sure only OEM toner was being used 'but who can be sure'! but the yellow dev had
bricks in it. The dev roller was coated in hard toner in spots and the only thing that took it off
was contact cleaner and elbow grease! I filtered the dev but I need a finer filter as there are still
      some fine lumps in it.
Your comment on the belt is noted and I'll clean it in a few days and order some yellow dev.

      cheers
