Document Centre 250 hard disk initialize (B&W model)

Hi All,
I have a year 2000 model black and white document centre 250 that had the copy hard disk die.
Note that its the copy disk, not the printer module disk which is easily initialized in the printer menu.

I have a working replacement for it (amazingly i had the exact same model on the shelf from a computer). replacement drive verified as good with seagate diagnostic tools.

I need to initialise the new drive. I've tried powering up holding down 4, stop and powersave and it didn't work.

Is there a chain function or another key combination I need to use?
