    New MCU installation of docicolor242

I tried to install a new MCU on docucolor 242 and it came up with 124-315 code. This has to do with serial number mismatch and I am surprised about this since i used the same NVM chip from the old board. I did the serial number serialization procedure and it was successful but the fault code persisted.

On going through the manual i was asked to check NVM locations: 700-600, 700-601, 700-602 and that the settings on the three must be the same. That of 700-601 on my machine was different, but it is a read-only location...i could not change the setting to match with the other two.

Could someone advise how to resolve this situation.

By the way, the new MCU i was trying to fix is working perfectly on a docucolor 260....same MCU part number for both machines.

Re: New MCU installation of docicolor242

These are the part numbers I have:

    960K36280 MCU PWB (DC260 Only) (W/ TAG P-014)

    960K28630 MCU PWB Assembly (DC260 Only) (W/O TAG P-014)

    960K36290 MCU PWB (DC242/252 Only) (W/ TAG P-014)

    960K29360 MCU PWB (DC242/252/260 Only) (W/O TAG P-014)

NOTE: If a Tag 14 component is installed, you MUST use Tag 14 components throughout, including the MCU pwb, the IOT Drive PWB, and the two flat ribbon cables. Do NOT use a Tag 14 component with a non-Tag 14 component.
