    WC4260 empty toner error with new toner cart.

    Trying to troubleshoot and service manual says: Enter dC330 code 09-600 and 09-700. Check that the toner dispense motor (MOT09-600), PL 4.25 Item 3 runs and deactuates the toner sensor (Q09-700).


    I have run the test, but do not know how to determine if the toner sensor is deactuated. Can any one help, please?

    09-600 makes the motor turn and 09-700 just indicates a voltage. Is that voltage supposed to change when both 09-700 and 09-600 are run at the same time? If that is correct and the voltage doesn't change what needs to be replaced?

    Could the new toner cartridge be defective?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      Check the toner coupling PL 4.25 item 9. You can take the toner and drum cartridge out and push in the toner coupling. If it does not spring back it needs to be replaced.

          The coupling appears to be springing back okay. Any other ideas on error or on deactuates the toner sensor
          determination?

              You could have a failed toner sensor located in the xerographic module.

              Try a new xerographic module.

                  Hi sbtiti, I have a some questions for you.
                  Have you verified Replacing the toner cartridge from the user interface?
                  What is the software version?

                      Thank you all for your ideas and help. We were able to resolve the problem. It turns out the brand new out of the box Xerox toner cartridge was defective. Ordered another one, installed it and problem solved. Just goes to show you cannot always trust a new part or supplies.

                      However, I still do not know how to determine when the toner sensor is deactuated!
