    WC7535 Not Printing in Color

    Anyone have problems with 7535's not printing in color?

    We have a few that will sometimes only print in black & white. Everything is set to print in color but the output will be B/W. Even the internal test prints come out in B/W. Once you reboot/power off/on it will print in color again. No error codes are logged when it happens, one of the printers has had the SBC, Software Module replaced and been Forced AltBooted several times. None of that has helped.

    Any ideas are appreciated!

      The setting for printing in color vs b/w is set on the CWIS (web ui). If your machine is randomly changing on its own, I'd suggest trying the newest SPAR software. What software level do you currently have on the machine?

      I had a few 7535s that would randomly turn on banner sheets but when you checked the settings , banner sheets were turned off (even the option to let the print driver override the setting was set to no).

      Loading the newest software SPAR corrected this in my machines.

          The setting in CWIS and in the users print drivers is set for color. The settings doesn't change, the setting still are set to color, it just prints in B/W. Users prints, copies and internal test prints randomly print in B/W. After rebooting, it will print in color again.

          I think its system software too. Unfortunately we can't update it to the newest level. The machines are in a large company that has to approve all new versions of software in their labs before we can use it on the machines being used. The testing and approval can take several months.

          So I'm just checking if we missed any hardware or setting problems while we wait for the next version of software to be approved.

              What operating system uses a client? Windows or Mac?

                  Its not only prints but copies too. All output randomly comes out B/W, prints, copies and internally generated test prints. After rebooting the copier then it will print in color again for a while.
