    DC242 - 300gsm jamming in fuser

I am trying to run 300gsm gloss through the DC242 but each sheet is jamming at the fuser - I have it set to Heavyweight 3 through the bypass tray (5).

Can anyone point me to where the problem might lie?

I tried 200gsm and it did the same.

    Thanks

    Steve

OK, I just did some more testing and it's running fine on A3 but it's jamming on SRA3 - any paper weight

    Any thoughts?

OK, I'll give that a try

I was just wondering if this was a known or common problem that might have an easy fix - the fuser is working just great on other sizes - A3, A4.

I'll order a new one though.

        Thanks

OK, I'll check the eDocs for the procedure unless you know it - it does appear that it's the far side that catches rather than the side closest to the door. I'll order a spare anyway but if I can save this one then that will be a bonus

            Thanks!

in the fuser assembly above the fuser roller there is a plate with adjustable screws (4 or 5). it adjust the space between the fuser roller and the plate. if the space is high the paper or boards definately jam

Is that the 2 adjustable screws - on on either side? There is a spring in the screw assembly too? I can try adjusting that and see what happens, making a note of the settings first.
