Phaser 7760 with magenta background on black prints also

Phaser 7760 has magenta background on whole page. Even if printing black there will be black print and whole page of magenta background. Customer says swapped magenta drum unit and magenta toner but made no difference. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

This can be a result of no high voltage going to the magenta drum cartridge. The drum high voltage is carried to the drum by a spring contact at the bottom rear of the drum cavity. Remove the drum and push down on the contact. It may be that the plastic holder for this contact (PL 9.3 item 2, part# 162K62110) may be cracked.
