phaser 7760 with magenta background even if printing black
Phaser 7760 has magenta background on whole page. Even if printing black there will be black print and whole page of magenta background. Customer says swapped magenta drum unit and magenta toner but made no difference. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Is it a pale magenta or solid fill of magenta? Does it cover the page edge-to-edge or is there a border? If there's no margin, it sounds like a high voltage issue. Also look at the magenta developer and developer housing for toner buildup. -

The page from top to bottom has magenta lines running across. There are 3 sides with a border of about 1/8 inch . If you print a black sheet the black print is on top of the magenta so it can be read with no voids. I scanned the sample to my computer but Copytechnet is saying invalid file. It is a tif if that is helpful. FrankComment

Are the lines evenly spaced? If 44mm or 94 mm apart, try the imaging unit. If 28.3mm apart, check the developer housing roller.
