good day, xerox workcentre 7775, getting a color drum r2 error, call for assistance, went into the diagnostic mode, but there were no error codes showing what exactly is wrong. Any suggestions?

Remove R2 drum and R3 drum. Install R2's drum in R3 slot. Install R3's drum in R2 slot. If your message changes to R3 Error, your drum is defective. Replace the defective drum.

awesome, thought of that. And if the error still says r2 what would that mean?

Then you would have to replace the crum connector in the machine.

If the defective drum is new enough you may be able to fix it by just replacing the RF CRUM chip located inside the drum's front cover (1 screw). The part # i use for the color drums is DC250CNC (for the 3 color drums) and DC250CNB (for the black drum). You can also use these replaceable CRUM chips to extend the life of the drums to save money. They might not last 200% of recommended life but you can pull that CRUM out of the drum before you throw it away and then use it on the next drum when it gets to 0% to extend the life of the next one.
