    Older Xerox scan to file

    Trying to help a friend,

Has an older Xerox don't have the model right now it's about a 10 year old machine. A console with a opscreen on an arm (It is not a Docutech) I'm guessing its a 60 PPM machine.

It will not scan to file. When you run the detect Xerox scanners it will not register. I know with some of the older Ricoh's there is a program you must install to get it to scan.

    Any help is appreciated...

it sounds like you are trying to detect the scanner in windows like you would with a hp desktop scanner.
xerox generally doesnt work that way, some smaller models excepted.
You enter an entry for a ftp server or smb(windows shared folder) into the web interface of the machine, either at network scanning or in the address book (older models)
It should be connected via network, and not via usb.
