What is Current Firmware for Xerox DocuColor 260

I am hoping someone can answer about what the current suggested versions of firmware are for the Xerox DocuColor 260 series. I read in a post that there is an update, possibly .16 ?, that eliminates the future dusting in the ROS unit area. Here are the versions currently in the machine in question.

Controller ROM 1.210.14
IOT ROM 8.32.0
Finisher C ROM 17.15.0
IIT ROM 1.5.0
ADF ROM 12.2.0
SJFI 3.0.5

I am assuming the Controller ROM would possibly be that .16 update?

I am running 1.210.14 and now it makes sense about the ROS dusting fix not being there. Any horror stories of updating firmware?

software update for ros dusting was only for dc240/250 machines.
dc242/252/260 do not have any software update for ros dusting.

if you still have toner dust problem then check atc sensor and developer assy.
you will need a tech who will check and properly adjust your machine

Normally I would believe that comment about needing a tech. I have been self-teaching to get to the bottom of a nightmare. Figured I just had a lemon machine. I mean after five different technicians working on the machine, the same complaint almost every time... yellow dusting, yellow banding, lots of yellow showing up on my copies where it should not be. One would think that a little digging might just be needed to get to the bottom of the yellow issue.

I have paid for over 12 service calls in the past year all chasing yellow dusting. I have had to have them out about 24 times in a few months over a year. Usually they clean out all the excess toner and call it good... with a bill of course. Two times they said I needed a new IBT belt but it really ended up being a toner dusted IBT belt edge sensor. The belt was already out of the box so there goes another $221 plus labor each.

Finally after 8.5 hours over three days with the technician and field supervisor AND my pointing out the possible clog in the tube exiting to the waste container they got it fixed. So far. One past tech had left my yellow developer unit loose for over 9 months and that unit just failed in a big way. Dusted ROS and everything in the machine.

Sorry to vent about this but I am beyond feeling really taken advantage of by a service company that charges $150 an hour for a 'skilled' technical service.

I hope that latest tech finally fixed your machine.
If you get again same problem then you will need tech who will know how to fix your machine (overtoned).

G4printing, my experience with the machines and dusting (any color) is what Xcopytech said. The specific color is overtoning due to not having enough developer in the developer unit.

2 solutions for this is either

1) replace the developer unit with a new shot of develope
or 2) clean out the developer unit (dump out all developer/toner) and put a new shot of developer into the unit.

I usually go with option 1 because from experience, when I only clean the unit and put a new shot in. The problem tends to come back after a while.

First do a good cleanning and change all machine filters.
Dusting mean there is no airflow circuit into machine.
