It looks the same but it wont work. It will give a fault code or it wont get past the boot screen.

Is there a way to fix it or does a light production finisher of a 252 is compatible.

So how will it be fixed!!!!

If you check the serial # it should start with TKX (booklet maker) or MFA (no booklet maker). It can be used on a 4112/4127 DC 240/250/242/252/260 or DCP 700/700i/770.
