Is the fuser for dc 550/560 compatible with dc24x, 25, 260?

No I wouldnt even try it, There is more than one type for the 560 ect.

I got a customet who does this,no issues,just remove the rear lower tab and it works fine!

They are compatible. The 550/560 does have a number of different fusers though that are available depending on the particular type of job being run but for your regular run of the mill copy jobs you can use the old style fusers.
