Xerox DC 252 - Corotron - Replace Now

    Hello guys.

In the consumable list, Corotron is highlighted in red with a message REPLACE NOW.

I already replaced a new piece and still it is showing. I tried another piece still the same.

Shouldn't it automatically reset as there is a chip on it or resetting is done manually.

Anybody knows how to reset this one?

    Thanks

There is a way to reset this manually. Remove the black drum unit, at the rear you will see 2 holes on the corotron unit at the top of the drum. Take a paperclip and bend it in a way that it fits inside the plastic housing and that you can see the metal of the clip when you look into the holes. Now insert the drum unit back in to the machine and close up all the covers. Wait a minute or so and the counter should reset. Once reset, remove the drum and remove the paper clip. Reinstall the drum. You can also just ignore the message as it will not cause your machine to function any differently either way.
