    [Misc] Workcentre 7855 Advice

    Morning all,

    We're about to take over some ricoh devices and the customer also wants us to look after one 7855.

    I'm only trained on canon/ricoh & sharp. Although I have looked after a few DC250's in the past.

    I remember with the DC250 I didn't need PWS or EDOC and could still enter service mode and use my PDF manual.

    Just wondering if I can do the same with the 7855?

    I have another meeting with the client on Monday and would really appreciate some advice.

    Pdf service manual is available for this machine. No edoc need.

      You can totally take care of this machine without a PWS. All service diagnostics are built in and accessed from the UI and or through CWIS via network connection. If it has an old version of software, I would recommend upgrading to the current general release software you can get at xerox.com . Newer software levels start with 072.xxx... vs 071.xxx...
