An explanation on the xerox wc 5645

Hello friends. I have a curiosity to propose.
my WC 5645 when I make dark copies through adf, it does not bring them all counts.
Example: 20 sheets and it count 12, then the printing is not completed.
I talk of sheets containing graphics or photos.
Why? is only a problem for me?

If you are placing 20 sheets in your ADF but you only get 12 copies made, it sounds to me like your ADF is pulling multiple sheets at once. If that is the case you should replace the ADF feed roller assembly. Another reason may be that the media that your graphics / photos are on is out of spec for the ADF and it simply can not separate the sheets well enough and a few get pulled in at the same time.

ADF feed roller assembly part # is 113R00718.

Hello friend. thanks for the reply but I am sure that the sheets pulls them good because I keep them with my hand. The problem also occurs with 4 sheets and of course I'm sure that someone does not pull them together.
It seems to have a problem of memory management of graphics because it gives this problem only with the sheets containing photos or black spots.

I am not familiar with that particular model, but perhaps the DH sensor or sensors are confused by the photos or black areas of your originals. Try taping a piece of mylar with white label material on it so that each sheet that passes a sensor covers the sensor with the white label instead of the photo or black area of your original.

I don't know if this will help, but on some machines if the guides that align the documents move too much while the documents are being fed, it can cause the machine to expect a different sized paper.

Try to make copies with different settings for original document: text, auto and photo and watch how the originals and copies are counted.
