    Need USB - Serial Cable that works with PWS???

    Does any one know of a USB to serial cable that works with PWS?

    I have to do some work on a DC3535 and my laptop (with PWS on it ) only has USB ports.

    I have to reset the belt cleaner in PWS and I need whatever cable is necessary to connect my Windows 7 USB only laptop
    to the DC3535 which I understand only has a 9 pin serial connection, so I can run the PWS diagnostics.

    Any help would be appreciated.

      I use the Terra Grand Premium high speed USB 2 to Serial RS-232 DB9 converter. It supports Win 8,7,XP,Vista,2000, 98,Linux. I buy them from Amazon for $10.98. It comes with enabling software, installs in a minute. I have tested it on many Xerox machines, including DC2045, DC6060, DC3535. I have installed it with Win XP and Win 7. Be sure to set the port in Device Manager to port #1 to access Xerox machines.

          Do you use a standard 6ft Male/Female cable?

          or

          Do I need a Female/Female cable?

          Can I use a 10foot cable without problems?

          I guess what I am asking is the DC3535 jack Male or Female?, and do I need a special cable for it?

          What do you set your baud rate at 1200,9600, 19200? Date Bit ? Stop bit ? Parity ?

              C2G.com (formerly Cables to Go .com) has the 10 Ft. male/female DB9 cable, part # 02712, $10 .99. For small machines, use USB A/B 2 meter(6 Foot) part # 29141, $13.99.
              I have tried 6 foot cables, but they are not long enough to allow the PWS to set properly on the machine.
              You do not need to set baud rate, stop bits, parity, or anything else. Start the diagnostic program for DC3535 with the cable attached, and the program connects automatically.

                      I am using bafo bf810
                      Working fine .
                      But if any usb to serial failed to connect to ur 3535,you have to change some settings in device manager-ports-serial port-advanced. There are two options one for faster data transfer and another for best communication.
                      There are two sliding bars to be adjusted. Set them at lower setting.it will work fine .
