It also say's "Do not press the power button while restart is in progress" I am not a Xerox tech but a large customer of mine asked me to see if I can fix it. They had another company come in to repair it and they apparently did dome sort of update which was unsuccessful. I would guess Hard Drive but guessing only leads down the wrong path. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

As general rule this error is from machinr software.
The proper procedure is to reload the machine sw and upgrade after that at the desired sw version.
You can remove the machine hdd, put it into PC and check -

Get a 2G flash drive.
Download the current general release software from xerox.com (version 072.190.004.09101)
Unzip the file.
Create a text file with no data and name it FORCED_UPGRADE then delete the extension from the text file.
Create a folder on the root directory of the flash drive and name it Altboot
Place the FORCED_UPGRADE file and the .DLM file you downloaded from xerox.com into the Altboot folder.
Power off the copier.
Plug in the flash drive into one of the USB ports.
Power the copier on and wait for the copier to reload software.
A forced altboot takes some time to load and the machine will reboot itself a number of times before it is complete.
Do not power the machine off until it has completely finished.
When done, it should print out a software upgrade report.
Warning: a forced altboot will wipe all customer settings so you will need to set up everything again like its a new install such as network printing / scan settings / email / security settings and so on.Comment

Thanks for the help, I'm going to pass on this. I normally don't work on anything I'm not trained on and this will be no exception, let them pay Xerox to do this. In this economy I can't waste my time trying to be a hero. Thank You again.Comment
