Xerox 5745 ROS motor fail

We are primarily a Sharp dealer. Have a few of these at a Gov't account. One of them has a noise and then this error. Apparently Laser Unit has failed. I'm currently locating one. Are there any traps and tricks we need to know before tackling this repair? Or can we just locate the LSU, replace it, and power up? Is there a reset procedure for the code?

The ROS is located under the scanner. You will need to remove the ADF, finisher, single board contoller, scanner. When installing the new ROS make sure you have it seated correctly on the locating pin. The code will reset when you turn it back on. You may have to do some registration adjustments also.
