[Misc] Problem WC7665 - max. resolution 600 dpi

    Hi,
max. resolution on my WC7665 is 600 dpi and I can't change it! I've tried with different drivers (can't install old digitally unsigned!), different print processors (xerox and winprint) and different OS (win xp and win7) but without success. Local xerox tech told me that is the prinitng resolution of the machine but I can't accept that answer. Calibration page is printed in high resolution but everything else sent from computer is printed in low resolution.

Does anybody have advice or similar experience?

I take it that you have tried setting the print quality to high resolution? under preferences -> print quality ?
you could also try submitting a document through the webinterface, to eliminate the print driver.

Print quality is the same using normal or enhanced quality. I also have an old wc7345 and I can change printing resolution but on wc7665 resolution is locked to 600 dpi. Print quality is so bad that the print on my wc7345 seems 10 times better although wc7665 is 2400 dpi. That's frustrating!

Upgrade the WorkCentre 7655/7665 Color Multifunction from Xerox

Looks like the max scan resolution is 600x600 and max print resolution is 2400x2400.

Make sure you are using the correct Driver version for the software level that is installed on the xerox.

What was the result when submitting a print job from CWIS (the machine's internal web page that you access by entering the machine's IP address in your web browser). Printing this way bypasses your print driver like Daan stated.
