    Xerox Phaser 3610

When this machine pulls the paper out of the paper cassette it's pulling it cockeyed. There is no obstruction in the path, but as soon as the feed roller starts pulling it, it starts to skew the paper before the paper even makes it to the registration assembly. It doesn't do it all the time though, about every 10th print gets skewed on average. The skewed paper gets the right side trail edge corner torn off or creased and folded. The printer has about 15K prints on it. Also the machine spits out the skewed paper but will throw a jam message on the display. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would start with going through the paper path to ensure all the "torn off" corners have been cleared. Remove the paper from the tray and try some fresh paper. How do the feed rollers look? Does the separator roller have any flat spots? Other than that I don't have any other tips other than really get in there to see the point of skew.

Thanks for the suggestions Exok, I have replaced the feed, nudge, and separation rollers, also tried another paper cassette thinking that the lift mechanism might be "off" on one side, and also made sure that no torn paper was left in the machine. Going to try replacing the feed assembly next. Looks like a bitch of a job, but I'm stuck. I'll post results when I have an answer.

What do the prints with folded corners look like? Because that actually sounds like it might be bad paper. Like maybe it is too curled to go through the narrow spaces paper needs to fit through in the machine, or maybe when the paper got cut to size the edges got welded together.
If you haven't tried a new ream of paper from a different distributor, you might want to do that before you replace more parts.
I apologize for wasting your time if you have tried that already, though.

Iowatech has a good point there that should not be overlooked. You can try to turn over the paper on the tray and do not overfill the tray also.

When troubleshooting paper jams ect, the first thing i do is check the roller condition and clean them. does not matter if the machine is new or not, this satisfies me in knowing that has been done. Also with printers that has the trays sitting close to the surface of desk ect, check that it is even and not sitting slanted. I had one panasonic fax machine drive me crazy in paper jams only to find that the machine was sitting in an awkward position. this may not be the case here, but just something to check.
If you can post pics that would have been helpfull. At only 15k the rollers should be in good shape, but i would clean all and the feed rollers. i suspect though there is something in the paper path that is not fully obvious, like piece of sticky paper or something of that sort. run your fingers in the paper path ribs also and check for burrs, that will knick the paper intermittently, have seen this lots of time with fax machines.
