From the ones I have seen it depends on the type of machine, a production machine like a 1000 or 700 is practically identical except for the machine software, diag software. Parts manuals are identical, except sometimes consumable crum configuration, office machines may have differences like pwbs eep roms,Ui and options in configuration, can have slightly different shaped covers but normally can interchange, fx doesn't use altboot for loading software.
