    [Misc] Xerox 7345 Work Centre touch screen issues (touch panel already replaced)

    Good morning -

    I have this 7345 WC that I have already replaced the touch panel on... Originally the screen when touched would act as if calibration was not correct - picking something you didn't touch. Tried to calibrate but would not. Replaced the panel, and was able to calibrate properly - when done with install it worked great. This was about 3 weeks ago. Now the customer is calling with the same problem - when you try to use it will pick something you did not touch.

    I've read that Xerox recommends the whole control panel - but not sure if this machine would be worth the money...


    Any ideas?

    I have replaced dozens of touch screens on this line and never had to replace the whole panel. It could be that your replacement screen is defective. I would try another touch screen.

      I have replaced tons of these as well.
      Probably a faulty screen, also worth checking under the blue trim make sure nothings stuck in there.
      Or more than likely customers hand fisted, I have replaced 7 on the same machine in 18 months and thats the whole control panel. as there on contract they didnt give a toss, The last visit I told them they will be paying for the next one, It has not come back in since, Funny that.
