Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
Almost everytime I see finisher connection problems on these machines, it's due to someone breaking off or losing the knife that hits the micro switch on the finisher (from copier).
If your're looking at the right side of the machine make sure that the blade is sticking out. It's obvious where it pokes into the finisher. The first time someone breaks them in two they lose the damn thing. Drop me a note if you need a pic. If it's gone, hot wire it on the finisher side.
Like the other techs said, the drum drive failure is unreleated.

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
So this machine requires a bypass or finisher to work?
So there could be 2 problems then.
Also, do you know if the drum drive belt is the same as the 9203 model? The number is 23E32380.
Thanks

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
It has to have the finisher plugged into the machine or a bypass connector to make it think it has a finisher.Leave a comment:

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
Thanks Flash. My boss unplugged (2 cables) the finisher from the machine then turned it back on and it still said finisher problem. If the drive belt is bad would that keep it from resetting other codes?
Thanks

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
You could have 2 desperate
problems. I would remove the rear cover and check the drum drive belt. There are 2 finishers for that machine. You need the fault code for the finisher to determine the problem.. A finisher fault would be 312-xxx .Leave a comment:

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
Thanks for the info RobertABD. Yes the code does say drum drive, but when my boss got there and checked the fault codes it said finisher error. Could these possibly be related? He can't get the error to go away.
Any more info would be great.
Thank you

Solution : Power the Machine Off and On (This Takes 11-18 Minutes)
NOTE: Powering the machine off and on takes approximately 11-18 minutes, as the machine completes an inspection of the print process during the power cycle.
There are multiple options for powering off the machine. It is important to note that powering the machine off and on consumes ink. For this reason, it is recommended that the machine is left on, and that the Energy Saver mode is used to minimize power consumption. The Quick Restart option is recommended when the machine must be power cycled to resolve temporary operation issues with the machine.
NOTE: Powering off the machine will result in the deletion of any jobs currently in the queue.
To power the machine off and on from the Control Panel:
- Press the [Energy Saver] button on the Control Panel. The following options will be displayed on the Touch Screen:
- Energy Saver - Energy Saver ends the current session and keeps the machine running on low power. When in Energy Saver Mode, press any key or the Touch Screen to wake the machine up.
- Quick Restart - Quick Restart ends the current session, restarts the machine and any jobs in progress will be lost. Quick Restart may be helpful if experiencing problems with the operation of the machine.
- If a power cycle is necessary, select [Quick Restart]. The machine will power off and back on.
NOTE: If it is necessary to completely power down the machine, use the power switch on the left side of the machine.
To power the machine off and on using the power switch:
- Press the power switch to the off (O) position. The power switch is located on the left side, toward the rear of the machine. The following message will be displayed on the Touch Screen:
Powering down the machine will result in the loss of ink.
Are you sure you want to power down the machine?
To keep the machine on, turn the power switch on again.
Machine will automatically shut down in:
XX seconds - To continue to power off the machine, select the [Power Down] button.
NOTE: If no action is taken, the machine will automatically power off within 60 seconds.

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
I have an update for everyone. If you check under the fault codes it says the finisher, but my boss unplugged the finisher and fired up the machine and it still says the same thing.
Is there a way to reset this error and get the machine running? The code did say 094-534, but when you check under fault codes under user tools it says finisher.
If anyone could help with this it would sure be great.
Thank you

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
If the old drum drive belt is shredded, don't simply install a new belt, remove the drum drive motor (very easy to do, you have a tension release lever and the motor comes out by just removing a clip that holds it in place, no tools needed) to access the pulley and you'll probably have to remove a bunch of tightly wound up threads from the old belt that wrap around the pulley and motor drive shaft.Leave a comment:

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
The drum drive belt is probably worn out. If it is black replace it. The new style belts are green.Leave a comment:

Re: Xerox colorqube 9201
Sorry everyone but it could be an error code of 8094-534 but I am not sure. I am getting this second hand.
Thanks again

Xerox colorqube 9201
Hi, would anyone happen to know what a fault code of 094-534 is on a colorqube 9201 is? We work on Lanier models but a customer of ours has one of these and wants us to fix this.
Thank you
