Xerox wc 5775 intermitent copy and print not available, scanner needs service errors.

Good day I want to get you all take on this one.

I been working on this for some time, I just find the faults mention above. I exchange document feeder, upgrade firmware to 06113222302693. now the device is working with out document feeder, I want to see if error would occur with out using the document feeder,so far it appears to be working without document feeder. With the document feeder I get the faults mentioned. I check connection to boards, disconnect and reconnect. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting any faults in the fault history? Some faults will not be displayed on the op panel.

I'm curious, have there been any disruptions to the power supplied from the outlet the machine is plugged into recently? That can cause the machine to act in undesirable ways, and also wreck perfectly good new parts.

Flash: I get 03-777 power loss and 03-320 communication error between image processor and document handler in fault history.
I also get 14-563-000 whenever scanner needs service comes up.

Iowatech: Yes there has been power disruptions, but there are two other xerox wc 5638 and 5890 and printers and computers that were not affected.

I am thinking that the fault is between the image processor pwb, scanner assembly or low voltage power supply.

Huh, so there were power loss error codes on the machine. Well, I apparently have no idea what to do next, so I'll just get out of the way. Good luck!

Thank you Iowatech for your help. I will continue to research, is it possible that electrical noise cause fault?

Check LVPS connectors then check carefuly the 24 volts on all machine connectors from SIP tray.

While I'm not sure about the issues you are dealing with, electrical noise can cause a machine to operate in any number of unpredictable and undesirable ways. So it would be best to eliminate that as much as possible before you try anything else. Good advice from people far more experienced that me could appear to be a stupid waste of time otherwise.

I had the MFP moved to our office and I am getting the same fault. I will investigate the electrical noise further.

I have same problem with xerox 5755 ...Scanner need service plus toner control system error... for this error u need to enter into diagnostic mode.. There r two modes .. one is login mode..where press login button then type admin then 1111 ... u login...here u can do partial allowded adjustents...for that u have to go to tools (In login mode) here u see all device settings ...even u can reset software also.. But in above case u have to enter into diagnostic mode the second mode....for this...press # and logout at a time ...then enter 1934 ...u entered diagnostic mode.... Its a sensitive area..... here we r going to initilise Machine NVM...... Berore doing this u must record all NVM in a notebook ...or if u have a copy alongwith machine....Go to diagnostic routine...to copier routine..132 NVM initilisation copier...press Machine variable NVM...press initilise....
After this ... machine is set to factory defaults... & my copying started...
