There's no way to do this as far as I know, the only way is to buy an aftermarket chip and replace the one in drum cartridge at your own risk. But I should warn you that you barely will have some profit from this because the short life of the drum itself. So you may encounter severe image quality problems when the drum surface will worn out even if your machine will show some percents of drum cartridge life remaining.

The way to reset it is to replace the RF chip located toward the rear upper half of the cartridge. Its a bit of a pain to get to and you may need to take the drum apart a bit to get to it. Do a search for part # 5225CN. (partsdrop.com sells them for $45 US) You may be able to find cheaper.

I do agree with Corder about the return in your investment though. They don't usually last too much longer after going to 0% life before starting to give image quality problems (background and dark streaks).

You can also help extend amount of time before machine calls for new drum by changing some NVM settings.
      751-009 to 240, 751-010 to 72, 751-089 to 240, 751-090 to 72.

To save money you can use a fusing unit from a X123 series (part # 604K20342) and BTR from a X123 series (part # 604K20320)

You can also rebuild fusing units with the following parts:
      Heat Roll- C123FHR
      Pressure Roll- C123FPR
      Picker Fingers- C123PFP

Sounds like a new tech word to me.
        (Resit drum)
        Kinda like frimware.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Press & hold 0 for 6 seconds then press Start. Enter access # 6789 and Confirm.

Machine Status > Tools tab > Features column select Maintenance / Diagnostics > NVM read/write

Replace the fusing unit then again set NVM 744-220 to 0.
