Scan- and eMail-Kit on DC535 - Kit-Number

Hi out there,

I have got an DocumentCentre 535 and I want to use the scan and eMail-function. In the DC an scan-kit is installed as it shown as in the hardware infomations on the DC - but it is disabled.

If I want to activate it it asks for a kit-number.

Do you know what this kit-number is and where I can get it?
I don't have anz documents, the onlz I have is a diskette on my DC for service purposes but the file on the disk is not human-readable.

Can anybody help me ... ?

Hi there! Scan kits and scan-to-email function usually comes with a SOFTWARE KEY that should be included in the documentation of your machine. The best way to get help is to call/ ring xerox and quote the serial number in order for them to identify the software key that should be in their system at the time of installation.

You already guessed it but unfortunately these codes can only be used on the machines I already posted others are completely different and for Sale as many people want them and makes this machines worth a lot more . I sell them for 150 euro's btw

i used the codes below to enable scan in xerox workcentre pro 45 but i dont know how to configure the scan to file.
can anybody help?

first you need to install centreware 5.52 on pc , and then give the printer adress and install as smb, create a shared file to intall it, and then should appear on printer the server adress to send scaned documents.

thanks a lot, i solved the problem on my own. i forgot to create a ftp server on my pc. i used filezilla server (freeware) to creato a ftp server. anyway thanks a lot for the reply.

if can help me i have a problem with my xerox dc 242. i cant configure the scan templates. when i log in to the webtools as admin and click the new scan template it redirects me to a error page. do you know something about this problem??
