Machine has a new stripper unit and transit roller, a new cleaning unit, and the maint kit has over 30 percent life. We did all the work yesterday and then this morning I printed a few color prints. They came out fine. Then I copied 100 b/w pages. After about 60 pages the shadow prints started showing up. You could actually see on the leading edges of the pages an increasingly larger smudge on the paper. Checking the print quality the pages had increasing amounts of shadow print. Now it gets weird. After the machine sits for a short time the shadow print is gone until more than 40 pages are printed. Any ideas? We don't think the drum is bad. But for now we are going to order a new maint kit. Just checking to see if anyone has seen something similar and what they found. We had run the smear removal check from both service mode and operator mode. That did not help.
