    [Misc] GR3770/SC3000 printing too small

    Hi,

I've successfully been using an old PC running XP to print using my SC3000 to my GR3770. Then the PC died. Setup a virtual machine on my mac with a usb>parallel cable. Installed the same driver on the virtual machine as I had on my PC. Nearly there with the setup, but the machine is printing stuff too small. I've registered page sizes with the driver, selected A3 as the paper size. DPI is set to 400. Tried using different programs t print from all with the same result.

    Anyone experienced this?

What is the parallel to USB cable you are using? I could never get this to work on my Mac so if you could share a link to which cable you are using that would be great! Also what version of Mac OS X and are you using virtual box? Could be the cable. Are you printing from a PDF?
You might want to try the SC3500 driver software too (attached). It works with the SC3000.

Have you made any progress? Curious to know if you got it sorted out?

        Hi,

Thanks for your helpful reply. I've been away for a few days so only just picking this up again. I'm using a cable I got from Maplin in the UK:

Parallel USB to Printer Cable 1.8m | Maplin

I'm going to reinstall the driver you sent over. I think it's the same as the one I have already but it's definitely worth a go. I'm using yosemite and VirtualBox. Printing from a pdf using acrobat. Have also tried foxit with the same results.

          It's alive!!!

Your driver worked. It was a DPI setting that wasn't adjustable with my old driver.

You've saved my day and a good few handfuls of hair. CHEERS TO YOU!

Awesome! So glad to hear!!! Thanks for providing the link to the USB adapter. Hopefully I can get mine to run with a similar configuration.
