jp-8000 computer interface card - ZIPRIP UC5E - anyone remember these?

came embedded with a standard SD-630

I hit the two test buttons on the back. it resets fine. I hit the test button and it prints out a test sheet totally perfect.

but when i try and connect it from the computer to the printer, nothing.. no information is being sent. i've updated my drivers and set bios up properly..
anyone have any ideas?

just for the record it was actually the cable length. I had too long of a cable. needs 6 footer max
