I'm still wondering, what part number the black drum for GR3770 has. It's different to S-2806, because it needs HD ink/master. But i am not sure, what is really different technically. And i'd like to buy one

Also, all this searching for compatible parts/consumables brings up an idea of an overall compatibility chart for machines/drums/ink/masters. All information with names/part numbers in one chart/sheet or even a collection of charts would be great.

you sound like an end user.. not a tech.. I suggest calling a dealer in your area.. posing that question and have THEM give you the P/N's .. that way if you EVER need service tech you have their #!

              Re: DUPLICATOR GR3770 DRUM

You know you are talking about a machine from the mid 90's, right??? If you can find a drum it has probably been sitting in storage for years and if you can find a drum it and the machine are one part away from being a boat anchor. Which is why nobody is jumping to dig up old info on this dinosaur.

I threw my manuals out years ago when the last one bit the dust so from memory the drum differences are probably all internal. The PCB on the drum may be different or dip switches just in different settings, should be able to look at the stamped P/N on the PCB. Then I believe the squeegee 1 way gear and belt are different to stir the HD ink at a different rate... if you have an available drum buy it cheap and play detective with it. At the very least you'd have a spare mechanical parts drum. The Black ink is the only HD ink so the color drum (S-2806) may just need a dip switch change on the board or swap the entire board (4 screws and maybe 3 small connectors). The catch would be the rib that runs down the side of the ink tube that triggers the actuator switch... is it in the same spot??? Idk and have spent more time on this than I should... good luck
