    Riso RZ990 Master Making Scanning/Writing

    Hello All,

I recently got a used RZ990 which was having an issue burning masters at the full tabloid size (was only burning to about 10" wide)

I checked the factory mode settings and reset them or their default values, which then made the images burn even smaller, image below:

These are the settings I changed:

Has anyone ever had an issue with this? Or have an image of how these values are set on their machine?

    Thanks,

    PJ

when you reset did you confirm it defaulted to the size you require? might have reset any copy/net settings also.

why didn't you just reset borders?

lemme guess you don't have a manual?

if so did you follow all setup procedures after the main reset?

      Hello,

I just reset those values to the scanner bed settings listed on the sticker adhered to the scanner unit (as referenced in the MZ7/9 Manual, having a friend send over the RZ9 tomorrow)

I was unsure where to adjust the borders in the test mode settings, is there a place to do that in the master making section?

      Appreciate any advice.

        Hello,

I was able to reconcile this issue via codes 540 and 541 the master front end and write start position codes. I set them to 80 and 0 respectively, however the images are still burning about 3/8" off center towards the bottom of the page (landscape).

I'm curious if it's a clamp-range adjustment. Will give it a test now and report back.

        Thanks for any suggestions.

          Hi All,

          Just an update.

I was able to resolve the issue by fixing the paper feed tray sensor that recognizes the paper size, turns out the bent guides were the culprit all along.

Appreciate all that gave any helpful advice.

          All best,

          PJ
