Hello everyone, I am a small press in CT who recently acquired a Riso EZ 591U. It has appox. 75,000 copies and 400 masters on the meter. It was running smoothly up until a week ago when a thin, clean, white line began appearing on all of my prints. I was doubtful that it could be a faulty tph considering the condition of the machine but I am beginning to suspect that it could in fact be a premature failure.
A few things I tried:
All with no success. The thin white line remains in the same orientation and width no matter what I do.

Now I know that the tph is one of the most expensive components to replace in the Riso, but I am hoping that someone might have any last tips or tricks up their sleeve before I decide how to proceed. I've owned the Riso for just about two months, and can't fathom replacing the tph this early. But I am not experienced enough to determine the necessity to do so on my own.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and consider my dilemma. I really appreciate it.
A few things I tried:
- cleaning the tph
- resetting the Riso
- printing with different drums
- printing from file, scan, and test
- changing photo orientation
- increasing voltage to tph
- running confidential prints
- adjusting the picker finger
- replacing master roll
- changing power outlets
All with no success. The thin white line remains in the same orientation and width no matter what I do.
