RISO C1610 EP - cannot open drum.
Hi, this is my first post so apologies for any lack of forum etiquette.
I have a RISO C1610 EP and I slid the drum out to have a clean inside. When I closed it up and set it to make a master the whole machine immediately stopped, displaying E 01 error message referencing the main motor.
I got a hold of the technician's manual and I've been working on it for 10 hours now; trying out the test mode (59 & 60 plus others), removing and checking the Main and Power Supply Boards, the master removal safety switch, the main motor, intermediate gear, suction unit, print positioning unit and the pressure lever. All parts have been checked over and replaced exactly as I found it. However there has been no progress, the drum still won't open and I cannot rotate the drum into the opening position from the inside. It seems just stuck in place.
I cannot remove the front cover to remove the drum cover to look at the locking mechanism as the drum must be removed completely first.
I've also done extensive searching for my problem on google and forums, which is what led me here.
I don't know what to do next, does anyone have any tips? Any feedback greatly appreciated!
