    Riso RZ370EP

I m working on riso rz370ep machines. It calls for new ink at half the bottle. In other words it uses only half the and it indicates ink light. If i put in new ink bottle it everything gets back to normal till half way through again.
Tried different batches of ink but same problem persist. Changed ink pump as well but no joy. This is happening on three different clients using same model machine.
    Any suggestions please.

Are you using original RISO ink? Is the firmware up to date?
Once I had a customer that was frequently pulling the ink tube out to check ink level, caused the drum to say the tube was empty when it had about a quarter left.
Another customer had about 10%-20% left in the tube and I changed out the drum (easier that taking the drum apart since I had a spare). But both machines we different models.
So if the customers are NOT pulling out the ink tube frequently, then I'd look into the RF tag reader. Maybe even the wiring between the reader and drum/machine connector.

    Good Luck.

I did check wiring, all looks good. I will try a complete drum switch. Can someone please help me with latest firmware for RZ370EP and EZ201E and installation instructions as well.

did you use a new one?

There is an encoder on the pump. try sealing the odd or even holes.

I once sealed 3 holes and the pump got crazy, the ink spilled outside of the drum unit. I sealed 3 holes in a row.

I've seen it twice, found a good used drum both times and swapped the entire drum, problem went away. Board failing??? Didn't care to investigate on an older machine and had to run almost an entire tube of ink to generate problem. Good luck
