[Electrical] Riso MZ790 - Key Card Counter Accessory Removal

I'm trying to uninstall a Key Card Counter from an MZ790.
After I disconnect and disengage the counter, the machine still asks for a card to be inserted.
Does anybody know what code or setting I need to change in order to successfully uninstall the device?

    Thanks in advance

I did not see any settings in the test mode referencing a the counter, but maybe mode 1198 initialize memory (have access the protected area to get there). But that will reset All settings back to factory defaults, so maybe print out the system parameter adjustment record TM 120 so you but settings back if needed. Also the mode for the counter might show up there too? The other place to look might be the user settings under the admin tab.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm always cautious when fiddling/resetting these older machines without having access to a good firmware installation at hand in case things go sour, so I actually ended up getting into the back of the machine and disengaging the connector on the logic board where the key card cable connects to, and that did the trick. I can now operate the machine as it normally does without the key card installed. Cheers.
