Riso GR 3770 - HD Black, which inks are compatible?

Having recently gotten a hold of a GR 3770, I would like to purchase HD black ink. However, this particular ink isn't produced by Riso anymore. I figured the best workaround would be to fill the empty HD cartridge with similar ink.

My question: which black Riso ink that is still being produced would be the best option?

Also, a variety of non-genuine ink is available on the Chinese market. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm wary to simply use a knock-off that might be detrimental to my machine.

    Thanks for your input.

The last one I can think of is an MZ1090 flavor that had its own HD ink, S-8134UA
You are 1 part away from having a boat anchor. Generic ink is terrible but you are dealing with a 28 year old machine so good luck

Using Genuine Riso ink from a newer type tube and filling it into a GR tube is one thing. But using off-brand ink in an HD GR Drum sounds like a move that isn't worth the risk.

I've tried off-brand ink. It worked but I do not endorse it for quality prints. I pretty quickly switched it to a different color of Genuine Riso ink.

Edit: if you're in the US, it looks like Hallagans still has GR HD Black ink available. But I don't know for how long -- they've discontinued resupplying GR inks.

I got lucky and got my hands on seven tubes of GR HD Black ink, so for the moment my problem is solved. When I run out I will try my hand at refilling used tubes with genuine Riso ink
