Hello All,
I am just setting up a risograph RP3700 with an SC7700 RIP. I have been attempting to connect to the rip via an ethernet cable on a Mac running OS 10.4.1.
I received the following instruction from someone who is using the same RIP and running from OS X as well:
"The technician who did the installation on my machine before I bought it, sent me the printer driver for the SC7700 and told me to place it here:
System/library/printers/ppds/content/resources/de.lproj
Then you can add the Riso just like any other printer using the System Preferences. With mine, that worked very easily."
So, I installed the driver in the appropriate folder. When I first did this the computer detected the RIP through appletalk when I went to "add new printer". As it seemed to be taking awhile to load, I cancelled it and have since been unable to locate the RIP when attempting to add a new printer. Furthermore, when I first attempted sc7700 had only the green light on and communication seemed to be working. Once I cancelled the process, every time i turn the rip on it does nothing more than display all the lights red, yellow and green and they occasionally blink in unison.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion!
Lucas
