    Riso RN2000 error T98-039

I need some assistance on Riso RN200

An error message T98-039 appears on the screen when starting the Risograph. This error message does not appear in the service manual.

Farther more on starting the Risograph in a test mode I get:

    ROM Version
    V 0.00
    V0.00
    V0.00
    V0.00

    Can anybody help?

    ThanX

    Dan

I have never seen that code. But then again it is a Riso.Check your connectors to the main and mctl board.Other than a surge to the power supply i cant think of anything. If i find something when i get to the office i will post in the morning.

        T-98

Normally this is a board communication error. but with no firmware being shown I would suspect that your Riso has lost its brains and does not know what to do. Main board problem or ROM issue would be my guess.

When switching the Riso ON I get the Riso logo on the display. When starting in test mode I get T98-039. After pressing reset I get the test options but the Riso doesn't start any test mode processes

          Cheers

            Just thinking

If it will not start any test modes it may be because they are not there. These test modes are stored on the main board. Are you sure that nothing is unplugged on the board? Do you have a main board to swap out? I would start there. An idea would be since this machine has never been used the Litium Ion battery has gone dead, causing this machine to loose all info that it needs to opperate. Good luck sounds like a fun one.

You need to reset the paper size for the paper tray. One size for the 105mm and one for the 210mm.
