RZ 220 won't put on master

I have a RZ220 that no matter what will not apply the master to the drum. I swapped out the main board and master making unit still no joy. I have pulled the front cover and it removes the master with no problem but when the time comes to put on the new master it seems like the clamp does not open. also if you remove the master before hand it will say that the master remains on the drum I have also swapped the master detection sensor.

First though is what error code(s) are you getting? Have you tried a different drum, could be the clamp. Could be the clamp cam and or timing position with the drum. Is the master unit making a master? Sorry more questions than answers, but maybe this will help you.

Of course I tried a different drum and I retimed the machine it makes the master but cuts it short because it doesn't get into the clamp to the only error codes are A16 525 and a34-213 Again the clam wont open to accept the master but does to remove it and the drums work fine in other machines

Have you tried a different clamp unit? After rereading the manual chapter 9 clamp unit, different cams are used between removal & master loading.
