I recently had a small printing project requiring me to use a drum that I hadn't previously used. But when I put it in my GR3770 it gave me "wrong drum size" code, although it has GR on it, I noticed it is a smaller drum, so I removed it. Now when I try to put the right drums in, they get bound, won't make a master or print and are difficult to remove. Any suggestions?

Wrong Drum Reset Issue
I got several codes at the start, but reset, etc., now I'm getting T14 Service Call and the correct drum is pretty much jammed in the machine so that I can't get it out, can't burn a master or print.Comment

Resetting Wrong Drum Situation - GR3770
I think this is solved. I have the Test Mode Operation Procedures Manual and after a little time working with it, I found what appears to be the problem, and have corrected it.
So if you put the wrong drum in your GR3770, (GR drum for 3750, for example...which is not an 11 x 17 drum), it appears that the drive pin rotates and will get 'upside down'. So then when you put in the correct drum, it doesn't line up because, this is a one-directional pin with a larger tab on bottom and a smaller tab on top. If it's upside down the drum can be forced into position, but will not operate.
To correct the problem, I took the drum back out, put the unit in test mode, and then used code #60 to jog-rotate the pin back into position, with the drive pin correctly situated (large tab on bottom). I replaced the drum and have been able to resume printing.
However, I do notice that the green drum OK light doesn't seem to be functioning properly. Any ideas on that will be gladly accepted.Comment
