[Misc] Standard SD700 Uneven Printed Sheets

    Standard SD700 Uneven Printed Sheets

This is happening with both of my drums, make new master prints are nice and dark after initial proofs, after about 75 to 100 sheets I begin to get uneven prints.
These are the steps I have taken so far, adjusted ink detection pulse to 6.0 on both drums, adjusted the thermal head voltage to 16.40, changed the pressure cylinder setting to on to override the speed and temperature sensor, then I set the pressure to it's highest setting 6, also checked the ink pump rotation counter seems that the pump is rotating, count number changes. Anyone with additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I described everything that was going on and the troubleshooting I tried and the best you could come up with is how old is your ink, Brilliant

When ink starts to thicken it will not spread out evenly across the width of the drum. It could be too long since the ink was manufactured or too many days since the cartridge in use was first placed in use. The other potential problem is either the the cloth screen, metal screen or both are clogging and need to be thoroughly cleaned.

What do you recommend for a cleaning solvent? Also can the cloth screen and the metal screen be cleaned without removing the cloth screen, maybe just really saturate with the cleaning solvent.

            NO.

You have to remove not only the cloth screen but the metal screen as well. It is a very messy job that should only be done by a qualified technician.
