Setting up my recently acquired RISO MZ 790U (Model 213) and having an issue connecting with the PS7R-5000 controller via printer USB cable. The controller connects to my computer just fine, IP address and all.
When opening up the the metal plate to the CF card adapter, red LED light 1 is constantly blinking. In the tech manual, a red blinking light in this area indicates that there is either a firmware or software issue. Is there a RISO firmware and DSP software download available that is compatible with my model? The current system/drive version is 4.03. The drum DSP is 2.05.
Not sure if this is related, but when I turn on the machine and open settings, I do not see an option to select Base IP Address to set that up, even though it is listed as a step in the tech manual.
Could this issue also be related to the printer USB cord I am using?
