    Riso RN2235ui rookie lease de-install

Our company does not sell or service duplicators. We received a call from an out-of-state company asking if we would get this machine ready for end-of-lease transportation. They want us to inspect machine and remove any supplies that could cause problems during shipping. The truck driver is supposed to do the actual shrink wrap, etc.. Any words of wisdom from anyone familiar with this machine and/or the de-install process? Should we pass on this one or should it be a piece of cake? The nearest authorized servicers are over 30 miles away. Would it be worth their time to travel for this? We haven't talked price yet, just asked if we would do it.

I would check it out and say that it is all good!

Once you pass it to the trucking company it is there problem. I get them shipped to my office often with no packing and all the supplies still in them. The RN series does come from the manufacturer with the scannner locked. There should still be the scew hanging under the top of the machine unless the installing dealer took it out. That is all that I can really think that could go wrong. In the end the decision is up to you, but I would do it for a couple of hundred bucks and then smile

Thanks for the feedback. The final decision isn't up to me so I'll pass it on and see what happens.
