This duplicator is failing to ink the screen in the middle of the roller-every time it shows up as a white T almost. It's very apparent. I removed the drum and cleaned the screen with WD-40 and replaced it. Hardly any difference noticed except the copies are darker where they are being inked. I also tried a new ink box. No change. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Sorry to gp over the basics, but, did you actually remove the screen to clean and did you look at the ink roller to see if it's inked. did you check the master to see if there was any image on the center of the master? You could possibly have one of two problems either ink roller clogged or thermal head is gone

I did not remove the screen and I didn't look at the inker either. Please feel free to go over the basics, my knowledge level is "low" at best with this machine. The master is getting inked thoroughly except for this continuous spot in the middle.
