GR 3770, Drums are not recognized....

Hey,

we have one Drum, when we want to use it, the machne doenst recognize that there is a drum installed.
On the Display we can read: please insert drum. (Our Riso is in german...)
Sometimes we can fix the problem by pressing the handle of the drum a little bit down when we drum is already in the machine.
But sometimes the Riso looses the conection to the drum.

Any Ideas how we can fix this problem?

if you look at the handle for the drum on the end that there is not the handle you will some a c shaped on the other end. this is what locks the drum in the machine. when the handle is put down the c shaped portion clamps on to the machine. this is what locks the drum in the machine. are these bent? are the poles on the machine they lock onto messed up? the plastic sometimes breaks on the machine making it so the drum is locked into place, but able to move around. also there is a switch on the machine(drum set switch) that these c shaped arms actuate and tell the machine there is a drum in there. i tried to be descriptive.... let me know if i was.
