[Error Code] Wrong-Type Ink Cartridge Installed [GR3750]

I am getting the Error Code "Wrong-Type Ink Cartridge Installed" on my GR3750 when using my orange ink drum. This drum was working properly up until last night, but today it is giving me the error message. I am using RISO inks purchased from a RISO dealer. I have a brand new ink cartridge on hand and tried swapping that out with the half-used cartridge but the error message does not clear. Anyone have an issue like this before?

the ink cartridges have tabs on the end which actuates switchs in the drum. Either one of the tabs broke off or you have a bad switch in the drum.

The switches can get bent, try taping a small piece of paper at the end of the ink tab, effectivly extending the ink tab, if that works, the switch is bent.
