[Error Code] GR3770 - Wrong Size drum installed

Hi,

I've got a GR3770 and I just took delivery of a new drum that I got off ebay. The drum is for FR/GR series machines. I bought it after being told the drum would work in a gr3770, something corroborated by the seller. However, the machine gives the error message that the wrong size drum is installed.

Was I given incorrect info, or is there a solution to this problem?

Any help on this would be great.

First of all a FR/GR drum is fine in your machine provided it is the right size master. Check it against another drum to acertain if it's the right size. If it is the right size the chances are that the dip switches are set wrong. If you take the grey plastic covers of the front of the drum you'll see the swithes. Compare them with another drum or consult a maintenance manual or ask on here what they should be.

I've just lined it up with my current drum and they're not the same size! I wish I knew this before! How can I check if the drums I buy in future are the right size?

Take a tape measure.

not so simple when you're buying off ebay. i guess you can ask the seller to measure it.

On the outside of the plastic drum case will have a (W) wide for ledger machines.
