the film that you see is the buckle sheet. it is supposed to be there. the buckle sheet can get small cracks in it and cause paper to jam. it should run underneath this. if it is folding the paper I would bet that your pf clutch is staying on. it is either dirty and locking up, the paper sensor which controls the clutch is not seeing the paper causing it to stay on, or the clutch needs to be replaced. also if this folding is only happening on the first copy after you make the master there is an adjustment on the back side of the machine. the disk on the right when looking at the back. you will see there is a screw and you can adjust the gap in this disk. by making it smaller it will tell the clutch to come on for a shorter time when feeding the first piece of paper. even if you are running regular paper put the card lever down. this makes the machine not use the paper sensor. it will run the clutch off the disk in the back. if your problem goes away with the card lever down i would put your problems on the paper sensor. it is does not go away there we are looking at pf clutch, buckle sheet, or feed tire hubs. good luck

I'm having a very similar problem. Machine was feeding 160gsm card with no trouble at all. Then it just stopped. It was on the paper setting, so I tried a few different stripper pad angles with no result. Put it on card setting and tried with various angles and still no success. It just takes one sheets and it crumples up before it gets past the mylar film. Tried holding up the film with a pen and it managed 6-7 sheets then it crumpled the next sheet.

It's feeding 90gsm paper fine. It even fed a different colour 160gsm card for about 30 sheets then when I swapped in the 160gsm that I needed to print on it wouldn't do it. So frustrating!!!!
