could be many things. i would start with cleaning the timing roller. pull out the press roller(big black one in middle of the machine when you pull the drum out) through the opening made from this to the left underneath you will find a segmented rubber roller that gets dirty and drys out. where are the green dials set? they are the dials on the side of the machine where the paper goes. i have found it best if you have the left one pointed at 9 oclock and the right pointed at about 12-1 oclock. there could be many things causing your issues this is a start do this and then let me know how things are going. -
I've got the same machine and a new stripper pad pretty much solved all my registration issues. Bear in mind also that you'll never get consistent, perfect registration on that machine also. Thicker papers are best for registering things well, which might explain why envelopes are working better.Comment

Check the guide roller springs in the rear, its probably slipping, thats where the paper buckle for registration comes from. Replace the guide roller (long silver roller)Comment

a new registration problem (2 color print) occured: horizontal position/offsett looks fine, but there is 5mm vertical offsett. any ideas?
another question about the green dials set (left one pointed at 9 oclock and the right pointed at about 12-1 oclock), do you turn them every time you change the paper weight? is there a guide or cheat sheet somewhere?Comment
